How does SafeTuber analyze a YouTube video?
When a usable transcript is available, SafeTuber sends the transcript through its backend for AI analysis and evaluates the result with the selected age profile and parent rules.
What happens when a video has no usable transcript?
Transcript analysis cannot classify a video without a usable transcript. Explicit parent rules for a video or channel can still apply.
Which browsers does SafeTuber support?
SafeTuber is available for desktop Chromium browsers through Chrome Web Store and has a separate Firefox release. Store versions may not have identical features.
When does parent monitoring collect activity?
Monitoring is off by default and records child activity only on a signed-in device that a parent explicitly assigns to a child profile. Activity is automatically deleted after 90 days.
